Fuhao Hotel Beijing: A Clay Figure Shop

Fuhao Hotel Beijing is only a few hundred meters away from one of Beijing's most famous clay figurine shop known as Ni Ren Zhang.

The shop offers vivid clay figurines which depict different characters from the folklores, classical literature works, and Peking Operas.

The shop has a long history of more than 160 years. In the mid 19 century, Mr. Zhang Mingshan first created this fantastic skill. The clay figures are characterized by their unique workmanship.  The head and hands of a figurine are removable and can be separated from the main body. So during transportation the body parts won’t be broken.

From Fuhao Hotel Beijing, you can get to this interesting shop in 20 minutes by car.
